It's been a time of ups and downs for Yang; she sleeps for a month, she gets a girlfriend, her sister and uncle vanished while she was husked, and now, as the convoy winds its way across the mountains, she can't even turn on the radio or find solace in music because it won't stop playing audio of the last time she saw Raven, and having to relive that encounter and all the assorted emotions and anger that comes with the woman who gave birth to Yang (not her mother. Never her mother. No way in hell Raven Branwen gets to take that from Summer Rose.) have caused her to start spouting fire breath. Which normally would be cool as hell, except now she can't use it without being drawn back to her telling Raven in no uncertain terms what she thought of her.
All of it, everything, leaves Yang feeling restless, and so she takes to wandering the camp for a time every night, to try and burn it off before she goes back to Blake. That' how she comes across Jayce one warm night, and for once, the surprise of something happening while she was asleep is positive; Jayce looks better than he has since...well, since Yang's known him.
"Damn, Jayce. Mountain air must really agree with you. You look good!" She says it with a smile, but her body language still tense with frustration.
[ physically, jayce looks the best he's ever appeared. he's not fresh out of a ravine, half starving or visibly ill. he's not dead, either, or descemding that particular starecase. he's as alive as could be, bronze skin heated and warm at sight alone. his mental state may paint a different picture, gold eyes profoundly melancholy at their core, troubled and hiding the tension building on his back. at the sound of footsteps it's always one ear back, listening— all of jayce turns at attention, an instinct to keep alert at whatever's approaching, his tail flipping up high. when it's yang he sees, part of his expression visibly softens. now that's a face he hasn't seen moving around in a while. he went to visit her husk, of course, tried to study it with few uplifting results— but if she's awake, moving and alive, it says something.
jayce could perhaps afford to look happier— he tries, and hopefully it doesn't come short of his deserved affections. ]
Look who's finally awake.
[ out of the way— he wants a hug, for the good of the people (him). ]
Yang won't complain; she returns the hug gladly, patting Jayce fondly on the back. "Yeah, back in the land of the conscious. Asleep for a month, and I still woke up groggy as hell." She laughs slightly.
"...Sorry for worrying you." Blake had mentioned the stream of visitors who had come by, either to console her, or to sit with Yang and try to figure out some way to rouse her. Jayce's name had come up, though Blake hadn't mentioned how much better he looked...
Except Yang still clocked how sad his eyes were, or that his expression was somewhat wane. Ironically, he might be feeling almost like she is.

"Mind if I join you for a bit?"
